Company History of Optik+
1926
Sandelmann Optik was founded by Wilhelm Sandelmann. The company's focus was on processing glass for nautical and medical purposes (e.g., round discs, tubes, domes).
1974
His son, Wilfried Sandelmann, took over the company. The portfolio was expanded to include lens processing.
1978
Cooperation with the Genthe Glas glassworks in Goslar.
1979
Move to new production facilities on Koppestrasse in Braunschweig.
2000
Following the death of Wilfried Sandelmann, his son, Michael Sandelmann, took over the business.
