Optical Windows for Custom Applications
Optical windows are flat, optically transparent plates typically optimized to provide maximum transmission in a specific wavelength range while reducing reflection and absorption. They are often used to protect optical systems and electronic sensors from the environment. Because windows do not impart optical refractive power to the system, they should be selected based on criteria such as material transmission, surface specifications, and mechanical properties.
Other important properties when selecting a window include the refractive index, Abbe number, density, and thermal expansion coefficient.
Optik+ offers a variety of optical filters for numerous custom applications.
