Custom-Manufactured Achromatic Lenses
An achromatic lens, also known as an "achromat," typically consists of two optical components cemented together. This typically involves an element with a low refractive index (crown glass) and positive refractive power, and an element with a high refractive index (flint glass) and negative refractive power. Compared to a single lens, which consists of a single piece of glass, an achromat lens offers more degrees of freedom to adjust the lens' properties, and its properties can be optimized accordingly. An achromatic lens therefore offers significant advantages over a single lens with a comparable diameter and focal length.
Optik+ manufactures exclusively OEM optics, meaning optics that are precisely tailored to the customer's needs.
